with the client sitting in a special
ergonomically designed portable massage

Swedish and Therapeutic Massage
Most registered massage therapists utilize
Swedish massage as the foundation for a
treatment and blend in various techniques,
depending upon training and experience, to
address the specific needs of the client. In
general, the manipulation of the body’s
soft tissue (i.e. the skin, muscles,
tendons, ligaments and fascia) using the
hands is a gentle, flowing massage technique
that uses varying degrees of pressure and
stretching movements. It is most commonly
used for relaxation and well-being.

Sports Massage
In order to alleviate the stress and tension
that build up in the body’s soft tissues
during physical activity, sports massage
therapy has become popular. Minor injuries
and lesions, due to overexertion and or
overuse, are quickly and effectively broken
down by sports massage. It prevents the
injuries that get in the way of performance
and achievement whether the person is a
dancer, sports enthusiast, athlete, hobbyist
or just enjoying the fun of it all. Anyone
can benefit from this massage whether people
in demanding jobs or under occupational,
emotional and postural stress that may
produce many similar characteristics as
sports injuries.
